St Mary’s PUC Celebrates Independence Day 2024-25
On August 14th 2024, on Eve of India’s 78th Independence day a short a cultural program was held at St Mary’s P.U college b in the college auditorium with great zeal and enthusiasm. The program commenced with a prayer service and prayer song by the students of Ist science. The welcome speech was delivered by Rifa Sulthana (I sci) and importance of the day was highlighted by Fatima Salwa of 1st sci. Patriotic song was sung by the students in remembrance of all the freedom fighters who sacrificed their lives for our Motherland. The audiences were enthralled by the dance drama that depicted the true meaning of patriotism and courage.
Mrs. Shyamala Raj (Lecturer in Mathematics) was the chief guest for the occasion. She highlighted on importance of Independence Day and spoke on the brave deeds of our freedom fighters. She advised the students to remember our soldiers for their sacrifice towards the nation. The program was compered by Sheik Nimra Naaz (I sci) and vote of thanks was delivered by Nafeesath Misba (I sci).
The formal program was held on 15th August 2024, Thursday in the college premises at 8.30 a.m. Mr. A K Jamal, the chief guest for the occasion was escorted by the Heads of the Institution. He unfurled the tricolor flag .As the flag fluttered high the students and the staff saluted the national flag with great pride. The chief guest addressed the gathering with his thought provoking message. The celebration ended with the distribution of sweets to the students.
