VISIT OF SR. MARIA NIRMALINI AC,THE SUPERIOR GENERAL OF THE APOSTOLIC CARMEL CONGREGATION TO ST MARY’S INSTITUTION
St.Mary’s Institution Falnir,Mangalore was privileged by the visit of Sr Maria Nirmalini AC, the Superior General of the Apostolic Carmel Congregation on 16th January 2023.The staff of the campus assembled at 3:00Pm at St Mary’s preparatory school Auditorium for a common session by Sr.Maria Nirmalini AC. The programme began by invoking blessings of Almighty through a prayer song by the staff of St Mary’s English Primary School.
Sr. Maria Kripa,(Local Manager and Joint Secretary) in her welcome address gave a befitting introduction of Sr Nirmalini, while Sr Suguna (H.M of Kannada primary) welcomed her with a bouquet of Roses.
Further, Sr. Nirmalini addressed the gathering inspiring the staff with her insightful message. In her speech she emphasized on how to have a better communication and relationship with the students and also asserted on the importance of being a teacher as there is no substitute for the role of a teacher. She sprinkled numerous examples from her life’s experience as a Teacher and as a Principal throughout her address which was humourous and inspirational and also urged us to develop the habit of reading and reflecting as it is the key for critical thinking. A short video on Ted Talk was presented that covered wide range choices we make to handle life in a particular situation.
