St. Mary's PU College Conducts Drug-Free Awareness Drive
As 26th June is observed as International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, St Mary’s P.U College conducted a series of competition on the theme – “ELEVATE DRUG FREE DRIVE” , with an aim to spread awareness about harmful effects of substance abuse.
COMPETITIONS CONDUCTED:
1.CALLIGRAPHY COMPETITIONS:
Calligraphy competition was conducted on 15th June and the aim was to combine art with awareness and encourage students to express anti-drug slogans beautifully. Around 22students took part in the competitions. The winners of the competition were:
I PLACE: FATHIMA SHAISTHA (II SCIENCE)
II PLACE : MARIYAM RIZA (II COMMERCE)
II PLACE: SIZA AYAN (II COMMERCE)
2.ESSAY WRITING COMPETITIONS:
An Essay writing competition was conducted on 22nd June. The topic for the competition was” HOW EDUCATION, EMPATHY AND COMMUNITY SUPPORT CAN ERADICATE DRUG ABUBE”. The aim of the competition was to encourage healthy and drug free lifestyle through writing .Around 26 students participated in the competition. The winners of the competition were:

II PLACE : NAFISA HAIFA (II COMMERCE)
II PLACE: AZEEMA (I SCIENCE)
3.BULLETIN BOARD COMPETITIONS:
As part of the Drug free drive campaign, the college organized a Bulletin Board competition to encourage students to work as team and deliver social messages creatively. All the classes came up with unique ideas relevant to the theme. Students of II Science and I Commerce calssrooms were the winners of the competition.
