ST MARY’S PUC-CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION 2022
St Mary’s P.U College, Mangalore celebrated Christmas programme on 23rd December in the college auditorium with great joy and enthusiasm. The entire campus was adorned with Christmas decorations, Christmas Tree, Stars, Gifts. The programme was compered by Risha Fatima of 2ndCommerce.The cultural programme began with a prayer song, followed by welcome speech given by the Principal of the College, Sr Sahaya Mary. The programme was graced by the presence of Fr. Joseph Uday Kumar – Principal of Milagres PU College, Sr Suguna Headmistress and staff members of Kannada Primary School. They were welcomed with a flower bouquet by Mrs Supriya, lecturer in Physics and Mrs Chaitra, lecturer in Commerce. The special invitees of the programme were the Kannada Primary students as Christmas is all about sharing and caring.
To enhance the festive mood, Christmas carols were sung by the P.U students of 1st and 2ndyear.The students of the College performed a beautiful dance drama depicting the Nativity Of Jesus. The formal programme began by escorting the dignitaries to the dais by the members of Student Council Nysa and Bhoomika. Fr. Udaykumar in his speech spoke on the importance of education and also reflected on Christ and Christmas. He also felicitated the Students of Kannada Primary for their academic achievements. They also participated in various games and activities were conducted by the students of 2nd year Science. To inculcate the feeling of sharing and caring the staff members gave gifts and wished them Christmas filled with love, happiness and peace. The students enjoyed the Christmas Programme and were overjoyed by the arrival of Santa. The celebration came to an end after chocolates and cakes were served for all present.
